About Our Project

Capstone groups from the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2018 semesters partnered with RTCC to build this map application as a visual representation of municipal and university cleantech projects in the Research Triangle area. In addition to gathering all the project data, we also identified resources and advantages that the Triangle has that would be beneficial to any incoming Cleantech industries looking to move here. The spring 2018 group wrote a paper summarizing these resources, putting them into the context of innovation hub theory. We compared this region's assets and policies to those of Austin, San Diego, and Berlin to further put the Triangle's work in perpective. Finally we used the report to make recommendations on what the Triangle could be doing to better to turn itself into a global leader in Cleantech.
